My last video (at least for a while)...
Yesterday was Family Fun day at the pool and it was also, according to Mike and Owen, the BEST POOL DAY OF THE SUMMER. Owen really progressed in his swimming ability and is now able to swim 100% backpack free. This includes going off the diving board and the slide. I was a nervous nelly, but we made sure too keep a very close eye on him at all times.
It was also a great pool day because Owen won the splash contest! He was the youngest contestant so he may have had a little bit of an advantage over the other kids, but he was thrilled. He won a free friend pass and I told him he could choose any friend he wanted to bring to the pool. He wants his cousin, Ella, to come play with him at the pool :)
There was also a candy scramble and Owen participated, didn't cry, and even helped some of his younger friends. The participating and not crying part is huge for him. We were so proud!
PS- Please turn your volume WAY down to watch the following video. My voice is very loud and high pitched. It might hurt your ears. Sorry! I was excited.
