We are officially moved into our new (yet very old) house. We've been working from the time we wake up each day until we finally crash at night. Packing, moving, fixing, lifting, cleaning, arranging, rearranging, and fixing some more. We are so fortunate to have had help from family and friends. When Mike and I moved 7 years ago we did it ourselves. Meaning we didn't hire a moving service. We swore if we ever moved again we would use a moving service or we wouldn't move. Well, we did it again and moved ourselves. But we had lots of help from friends and family and are so thankful for that!
We had originally planned to move in the last week of July, but if you know my husband, when he puts his mind to something he makes it happen (usually early). So our first night was Tuesday, July 15th. The boys have adjusted well, although I know they will always hold a special place in their heart for our previous home on Pine Street. The great part is, my sister and Eric are moving into that house so the boys will still get to visit often.
Here are some pictures that I've taken recently to help recap what we've been doing in between the big move...
Last weekend Paige and the girls came home. They had snow cones at the Sacred Heart church festival.
Spent time climbing trees...

Adam won a fish and named him Freddy. Freddy has a lot of spunk!
Sam and Ella had never been to Chocolate World so we made sure to take them. Lots of chocolate, lots of fun!
This sweet boy and his mommy and daddy came home for a day last week. Love him!!
Wednesday night we had our first dinner guests. The Bullocks came for dinner. Even though Nolan is only 10 months old, he fit right in with our crazy boys! Owen loved making him laugh.
Adam goes to daycare on Thursdays and Owen is home with me. I try to do something special with him on those days. On this morning he chose to play Stratego. He won.
The boys and neighbor friends had fun with sparklers.
Saturday night we went on a family date night to Lititz. Owen took our picture before we left. After weeks of shorts, t-shirts, and pony tails, it felt good to put on normal clothes
.
We had dinner and icecream. We love that town!
Tonight we had my parents over for dinner. They are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary! I told Owen tonight that I hope he is married to his wife for 40 years and he said "I'm not getting married, that's gross."
I hope you had a wonderful weekend too!
