Weekend

We had a great weekend!

Friday morning Mike and I went on a run. We ran for 1 hour (7 miles). I'm more than halfway there! Then, we took the kids to the pool. Adam had fun dipping his feet and legs in the pool for a few minutes. I think he is going to love the water. He gets so excited at bath time that he kicks his legs and splashes the entire time and moves his arms up and down. If he is cranky, all we have to do is put him in his bathtub and he is happy.

Then, in the afternoon I met some of my friends in Lancaster at Olive Garden for lunch. We always have such a nice time and have so much to talk about. We could sit for hours and hours and not run out of things to talk about. Brianna made the comment that we all have so much to say that no one really finishes what she wants to say because we get off track and are on to another topic so quickly. Ha!

Saturday morning we had a birthday party for Owen's friend Tyler. His party was held at the Cleona Fire Station. Owen had sooooo much fun! He got to go for two rides on the fire truck. A fireman also talked to the kids about fire safety. The cupcakes were a hit! It was a really nice birthday party.Later that evening, Mike and I went to a wedding reception for one of Mike's previous soccer players. It really made me feel old seeing all these young kids that just graduated college. It was nice to get away, just the two of us, for a little while.Today we went to lunch at Hoss's for Levi's fundraiser. Then, we went to the pool, came home for a bit, and went back to the pool again! It is just so hot that there is really nothing else to do outside besides swim!
