Monday was also Cinco de Mayo. We've always had a party, but this year we were so busy and Adam was supposed to have tball (but ended up not going because he wasn't feeling well). Lucky for us, we live across the street from a wonderful margarita maker- Aunt Judy. There's nothing better than coming home from work and Aunt Judy delivering a delicious margarita.
In other excitement... Owen FINALLY lost his top tooth yesterday morning.
It has been wiggling for months and it was so loose that it was practically sticking straight out. Many nights were spent with Mike bribing Owen to let him pull it out. He tried using pliers (REAL pliers) and string, but couldn't get it out. Finally this morning, Mike pulled it out by hand. I'm sure glad he doesn't mind the crunchy sound and feel of pulling out a tooth because I want nothing to do with it.
I love this time of year. Lots of outdoor play. Tree climbing, watermelon eating, hockey playing, basketball shooting, swinging, digging in dirt, finding cool bugs, and making mud pies and mud soup. Adam is perfectly content exploring the backyard by himself, pulling grass and flowers out of the ground, digging in the dirt, playing with muddy water, and catching bugs. Owen puts on some crazy hockey outfits and will play by himself (although he prefers to play with his dad).
