Needless to say, we weren't much help in beverage elimination. We were way too busy playing, exploring, and interacting with all sorts of wildlife. We could have spent an entire day there and not gotten bored. And the learning that took place (although my boys didn't even know it) made this teacher mama very happy!
The tadpoles were not easy to catch. Mike must be a tadpole whisperer because I was determined to catch one and I had no luck. He probably caught about 10. Some of them will be going to live with Aunt Judy and Uncle Boo in their little pond, the rest will stay with us so my boys can watch them turn into frogs.
These pictures make me laugh...
What we do for our kids...
My uncle and Beau are into homebrewing and they grow their own hops. Pretty impressive!
Every kids dream- a really big tree house :)
Next up... Feeding their HUGE Koi. They like to eat Cheerios.
Endless rides through the woods on their Kubota. My boys were in heaven! They were even allowed to "drive" it themselves.
There's a big playground too!
And tetherball...
The boys found a toad and took turns trying to hold him. Poor thing was very afraid. I would be too!
A salamander...
One last ride...
The new pergola. This place is PERFECT for weddings, showers, and other special parties.
My aunt also has a summer day camp for kids at Springhaven Woods. Check out their website HERE. Like "Springhaven Woods" on Facebook.
Both boys slept until 7am this morning!!! And Owen just asked if we can go out there a lot this summer to visit and look for bugs :)
