LEGOLAND!

If you ask the boys, Legoland was their favorite part of our trip to California.  It was incredible.  We spent three days/two nights in Legoland and even though the boys have begged numerous times to live there, two nights was the perfect amount of time.

There was so much to do even in the hotel lobby!
It is a magical place for little boys (and girls too!) who are very much into Legos. As soon as you arrive you are sent on a scavenger hunt throughout the hotel.  Once you find all the answers to the questions, you are able to crack the code to open the treasure chest in your room.  It was filled with chocolate coins and Legos!

Here are some pictures of our room.

they loved that they had their own TV in their room
We were on the Adventure themed floor.  There are three floors - kingdom, pirate, and adventure.

I liked that we had a view of the pool and in the distance we could see the ocean.  See the Legos floating in the pool?  You could literally play with Legos everywhere!  So much fun!!

Every evening beginning at 6:00pm there are shows and activities for kids.  There's also a nightly Lego building contest.  Both boys loved the entertainment and both were up on stage at some point.  Owen even won a contest for our Adventure floor!

There were some famous people staying at the hotel too.  I would have never known they were famous if Mike didn't tell me.  Gavin Rossdale was there with his family and Lindsay Davinport was there with her two kids.  In fact, Owen and her son, Jagger, had fun playing together a few different times.

One of our favorite things about the hotel were the elevators.  The elevator was Lego themed and had a disco ball.  Once the doors closed the lights would go dim and music would start to play- like one big 20 second dance party.  It was a little awkward when you got on the elevator with another adult you didn't know and no kids were along.  So awkward that it was funny.

Onto the Legoland Theme Park...

If you stayed at the hotel, you are able to get into the park an hour before the public.

 Lots of love for Emmet!

The rides weren't any better than Hershey Park (in my opinion), but the park was extremely clean.  They also had two big water parks that the boys loved!

 Owen loved the rock climbing.

Planning where we will go next...
Kids could even build with Legos while they waited in line for rides!  One of my favorite things in the park was this place where you could build your own Lego car and then race it against other cars.

I'm sure we'll be talking about Legoland for many months (and years) to come!  We had a great time!
